2009 Mid South Youth Talent

Video Images is working on the editing of the tapes made of the 2009 Youth Talent Contest and they should be completed on or about the announced time for various shows. (Near the end of October for Juniors and the end of November for Seniors and finals). 

 The dvds look great this year and can still be ordered by contacting Jeanne Rinnander at the Mid South Fair office.  To get in on the first mailings, new orders need to be placed now.

Video Images Productions has taped the Youth Talent contest at the Mid South Fair in Memphis for the last 7 years.

This year with the move to Desoto Civic Center in Mississippi, we will again be the official videographer for the event.

Starting with last years contest, we began a new editing procedure, which greatly enhanced the quailty of  the DVD.  We went directly from digital tapes to DVD, with every act going through the editing process, rather than just making a copy of unedited tapes.  This procedure takes more time to complete, but it produced a much improved quality DVD.

We had nothing but praise for the quality for 2008's DVDs.

Video Images Productions has been invited back for the 2009 edition of the Youth Talent Show and we hope to provide the same quality service in the new location, The Desoto Civic Center.

2010 Miss Mississippi USA & Miss Alabama USA Pageants

Video Images Productions has been selected again to produce a DVD video of the 2010 Miss Mississippi USA and the Miss Mississippi Teen USA pageants.  We have also been invited back to tape the 2010 Miss Alabama USA  and Miss Alabama Teen USA pageants.

We have produced the video for Miss Mississippi USA since 1990 and Miss Alabama USA since 2005.

We also have archive copies of all the listed years, plus Miss Arkansas USA pageants from 1996 to 2005.

Wedding demo

We get asked quite often to show some of our previous work on weddings. 

This is an edited version of several weddings over the past few years.  This video is less than 10 minutes long and shows some of the key parts of the ceremony and reception of typical weddings.

Notice the quality of the audio during the vows part of the wedding ceremony.  We use only high quality audio equipment in capturing the all important vows between the bride and groom.  Positioning of the main camera is always at the mercy of the clergy and the church rules as to their placement.

All video is all digital, all the time.

My name is Johnnie Rodgers (J J ).  I am the owner of Video Images Productions.  I am also the chief camera operator.  The main video editor.  The clean up crew.  The.......well most everything else as well.

I started this business in 1985 and video taped my first wedding the same week.  Since that time I have covered over 1000 weddings.  I found that I processed a knack for wedding video production by capturing the bride, the groom, wedding party and family in a respectful and unobtrusive way.  I do not rush the  editing time I spend on each wedding, but give all the editing aspects of the production much thought and consideration of how to present the footage in way that brings a smile and even a tear or two to the viewer of the finished product. 

I have worked at least once in almost all of the major wedding locations in this area.  Thus I am aware of the particular needs, highlights and even short comings of most churchs and other venues in regards to wedding coverage.

Although weddings are our main work, we do get involved in many other types of video production.

We produce photo to video montages for all types of events (wedding rehearsal dinners and receptions, anniversaries, birthdays, retirements, etc.), we are the official video company for the Mid-South Fair Youth Talent contest, as well as the Miss Alabama USA pageant and Miss Mississippi USA pageants.  We have for many years taped the two annual concerts for the West Tennessee Youth and Children's Choruses. As well we tape annual events for several churchs and businesses in the Memphis area.

Today, it seems that everyone is busy having their vhs and other older format tapes transferred to DVD so this has also become a daily job for us.  As well as tranferring older 8mm film to dvd to preserve family memories.

And yes, the "EP" in the photograph is really the real Elvis.
